Sleeping Beauty

Leave me to my dreaming slumber, let me have my dreams.

Far beyond a waiting castle that is no longer my own.

No longer I have to fear of falling prey to a curse.

No longer do I have to pretend to smile and laugh,

while my insides twist and turn and there’s vomit in my mouth.

There’s no need for pity or sympathy. There’ s no need to worry or fear.

I like my dreams, the fantasies conjured through a single thought.

So let me have my dreams, and leave me to my dreaming slumber.
